Jilin Chemical Industry Park propylene industry chain adds new members

Jilin Chemical Industry Park's propylene industry chain has added new members, with China Petroleum Jihua Company's propylene products as the leader, Germany Evonik Degussa's 250,000 tons/year hydrogen peroxide project, Germany Linde's nitrogen production hydrogen project and Jishen Company Projects such as 350,000 tons/year of propylene oxide are in full swing.

 

Tan Hongbo, director of Jilin Chemical Park Office, said that in the park, there are many large-scale petrochemical products and few fine products; there are many primary products and few terminal products. In order to eliminate these contradictions, Jilin Chemical Park took the initiative to transfer the mode and adjust the structure, and cooperated with Jilin Chemical Company to extend the petrochemical industrial chain.

 

Propylene is an important chemical raw material. At present, Jilin Chemical's propylene production capacity is 600,000 tons per year. After having a refining capacity of 10 million tons, Jilin Chemical's by-product propylene production still has room for growth. The relevant person in charge of Jihua said that in 2012, the company could increase the production capacity of propylene by 200,000 tons, which fully meets the needs of the Jilin Chemical Industry Park to develop the propylene industry.

 

Yu Li'an, an engineer at Evonik Degussa, said: "At the beginning of the contract, we took advantage of the sufficient chemical raw materials of Jihua Company to achieve local materials. At the same time, in the areas of public works and sewage treatment, Jihua The company can also provide us with convenient conditions. This is conducive to our development in China."

 

Petrochemicals and automobiles are the pillar industries of Jilin. The propylene industrial chain will eventually connect the auto parts project with the auto industry, promote the integration of petrochemical and automobile industries, and promote the rapid rise of the local economy.

 

“After the commissioning of the propylene industry chain project, it is expected to increase the industrial output value by 15 billion to 20 billion yuan per year, and at the same time, it can increase the output value of the downstream industry by 5 billion to 6 billion yuan, and jointly realize the two for Jihua and Jilin Chemical Park. The goal of the 100 billion-level industrial base is laid," said Tan Hongbo.
